Too Much Time To Myself- Jkobi

With summer at our front door, new music will be following right behind. Jkobi has been masterfully combining thoughtful and deep lyrics with new school-type beats to give us perfect music for sunny days and long nights. His latest EP release titled “Too Much Time to Myself” shows his versatility as an artist as he continues to broaden his discography. As a new artist coming up in the music game, it is refreshing to see someone not stick to the same sounds and think outside the box when it comes to making new music. The song titled “You’re Not Here” encompasses Jkobi’s progression as an artist and you can see how he is able to make meaningful music that can relate to anyone. As subjective as music can be it's hard to feel that way when Jkobi starts to play. You are instantly drawn in by his futuristic type of beats and also mesmerized by the incredible vocals and lyricism. As a big fan of all music, I can fully see Jkobi breaking through the barrier in the coming years. He has an advanced sound that is already well ahead of his time so we will see how long it takes for music fans to catch on. I would have to rate this EP as 4.2 out of 5 stars. Jkobi is an extremely talented producer that can also tell a very compelling story. With that being said I don't think he has even reached near his potential in the music space. The ceiling is limitless for artists like Jkobi and I believe he has the chance to be a frontrunner in the next generation of music.
